Buying an old clothing warehouse in 1995, our owner Paul Adams had a vision to create a neighbourhood restaurant that would offer good wholesome food and affordability to the people of Southport. After a period of redevelopment on opening its doors the restaurant was an immediate hit and as the word spread quickly attracted diners from far and wide.

Whilst always having an enviable following, over the years, we have of course kept pace with the ever changing nature of people’s food tastes. Over 19 years later we remain doing what we do best. Our food has moved on considerably since the early days, but what remains is our commitment to delivering a bold but yet simple approach to flavour combinations and food presentation. We offer an uncomplicated and unpretentious dining experience.

The Warehouse’s personality draws influence from many corners of the world but most notably from a wealth of overseas travel, enabling us to add to the eclectic nature of our food and beverage offering.

The Warehouse enjoys a quirky backstreet location and beyond its’ doors lies a world of imaginative dining using the freshest and most seasonal of ingredients. The stylish and warm interior blends with Pauls personally selected music favourites including old great classics and light jazz to bring an upbeat yet easy listening vibe.

wine

In putting our wine list together we felt we had a wide variety of tastes to satisfy.

Firstly a list to cater for all budgets with some favoured classics and lots of exciting new discoveries. Secondly a variety of styles to match the quality and variety of the food offered at the Warehouse. We believe all our wines are excellent examples of their type and origin.

As a great wine evolves over time so will our list as new wines of fine quality are discovered they will surely find a place with us.

We would like your Warehouse wine experience to be as relaxed and enjoyable as possible, with wines to match each of Matt's dishes we encourage you to ask a member of the team to recommend something you may not have tried before.. ENJOY!

After dinner enjoy the easy listening up beat vibe whilst relaxing in our bar which provides a wide range of cocktails, Gins and Whiskeys/Whiskies.

Matt Worswick

Prior to taking the helm at the Warehouse Matt held the post of Head Chef at the three AA Rosette and Michelin Starred Glenapp Castle, having previously spent two years at the two Michelin starred Le Champignon Sauvage, with award winning Chef-Patron David Everitt-Matthias. Matt also worked with Michelin-starred chefs Kenny Atkinson at St Martin's on the Isles of Scilly and Simon Hulstone at the Elephant in Torquay.

Tibu Pinedo

Tibu is certainly no stranger to regular Warehouse visitors having taken care of diners for the last 15 years. He has served thousands of guests for us and continues to run the floor service in his own inimitable style and flare. Prior to joining us Tibu had a spell in France making wine and Armagnac before returning to his Spanish roots and demonstrating his staying power once again by managing the Platja Bona Restaurant for 11 years! A regular daily treat was taking the restaurants’ boat out and catching the fish he served to the tables each evening.

Eva Worswick

Eva joined her husband Chef Director Matt Worswick after developing a superb career history in her own right. Originally from the Czech Republic Eva has a very keen interest in wine, honing her skills in some of the most prestigious restaurants and hotels within the UK. Working alongside her husband at the 1 Michelin starred hotel Glenapp Castle in Scotland and previously at the famous 2 Michelin Star Le Champignon Sauvage in Cheltenham, Eva's background in high quality establishments helps her provide a friendly, unpretentious yet professional service to our diners.
